GRADING SYSTEM
  • The school year is divided into four (4) grading periods. In each grading period, a student is given a numerical mark for academic performance. The highest mark that may be given is 100% and the lowest mark is 65% with 75% as the cut-off passing mark.
  • The school employs an averaging system of getting the Final Grade. This means that the student's First, Second, Third and Fourth Quarter Grades, will be added and divided by four (4).
  • The Quarterly Grades for academic subjects (English, Filipino, /TLE, Mathematics, PEHM, Science and Social Studies) are computed as follows:

COMPONENTS OF THE STUDENTS GRADE

Periodic Test
Summative assessment of the student's learning at the end of the quarter


Quizzes
Summative assessment of the student's learning at the end of the lesson; quizzes given for formative purposes are not considered inthe computation of the student's grade but as a basis for making decision whether to proceed to the next lesson or re-teach.

Unit Test
Summative assessment of student's learning at the end of the unit.

Participation
Student's involve in the learning process individually and or in group; student's Performance demonstration skill or process (e.g., role play, theatrical performance, music, dance, choral, reading, speech delivery, experiment, etc.)

Assignment
Work usually done outside the classroom in preparation for the next lesson and may involved and application or extension of student's learning.

Behavior
Observable Manifestation of Student's feelings, thoughts, or attitude; grade is reflected in Edukasyon sa Pagpapahalaga although every subject teacher is expected to contribute to the assessment of student's behavior.
